Tour Description

Carnac Island is an A-class Nature Reserve, teeming with wildlife and is just a leisurely 45 minute sail from Fremantle Boat Harbour through the gentle waters of Cockburn Sound.

Off The Beaten Track WA invites you to join us for a half day sailing experience to the spectacular Carnac Island aboard The Capella – a bright yellow 12.5m modern sailing catamaran!

Located between Rottnest and Garden Islands, the picturesque limestone island is home to Australian Sea Lions, Bottlenose Dolphins and a large range of marine bird life. A large sheltered bay on the eastern side of Carnac provides a safe haven from the southwest wind and swell.

The clear, calm, shallow waters here allow you to venture almost right up to the shore where you can step off into waist deep water to head off for a snorkel or swim. Or perhaps you’d like to use one of the kayaks or SUPs provided to explore the turquoise clear waters.

If the easterly is up, we will venture to the western side of Carnac which is an absolute delight featuring high limestone cliffs plunging into the water and a truly spectacular anchorage perfect for paddling the kayaks around.

Leave the hiking boots at home as we wander on water together and experience the spectacular Carnac Island!

*Please note: We ask that if you choose to consume alcohol during this event, you do so responsibly.
