As we head into another hiking season, it is important to remember to check the conditions of the area you intend to visit before you head out off the beaten track!
- Weather – Using an App like Willy Weather will show you the hourly temperature and wind conditions. If you are planning on heading out at dawn or dusk it is also handy to view the sunrise and sunset times.
- Realignments/Diversions – The Bibbulmun Track website is a great resource to find out any realignments of the Bib. Head to the Section by Section Guide page to check out any diversions before you head out.
- Prescribed Burns & Wildfires – DBCA have just launched a new website that maps out any alerts on an interactive map. The map identifies the Munda Biddi & Bibbulmun track and highlights any bushfires or wildfires.
