TRAVEL VACCINATION POLICY

The intention of our vaccination policy is to provide guidance in the absence of mandated state-based health orders and/or other Government directives. We believe that this policy helps to safeguard our valued guests, employees, contractors, and the communities in which we operate across the country. We will continue to diligently monitor this ever-evolving landscape and will make amendments to our policy as and when required.

MULTI DAY / DAY EXPERIENCES

Guests booked on Multi-Day / Day Experiences are preferred to be fully vaccinated from 1 January 2022. Guests may be requested to verify their vaccination status and if unvaccinated, should be aware that they may be required to wear face masks and physically distance. Proof of vaccination is strongly encouraged and can be provided for sighting by Off The Beaten Track WA staff.

Off The Beaten Track WA works closely with our Accommodation and Hospitality Partners to deliver exceptional experiences, however any venue specific vaccination requirements will take precedence and will be abided by all guests wishing to participate in that tour. Off The Beaten Track WA will notify all guests of any requirements of vaccination as soon as practicable. Please note: if guests are unable to meet the requirements of Accommodation and Hospitality Partners and are unable to show proof of recorded vaccination or a verified medical exemption certificate at time of check-in will be denied participation—and tour fees will be forfeited to recover disruption costs.

If an experience is impacted due to government implemented travel restrictions for COVID-19, we will reschedule or provide a full refund if rescheduling is not possible. In the case the tour has already commenced and COVID-19 restrictions forbid the tour from continuing, Off The Beaten Track WA will be forced to end the tour but will work together with our guests to come to a fair agreement for any portion of the tour not yet completed. International /

Interstate guests travelling to Western Australia must ensure they comply with all State and Federal Government advices and requirements for entry, including obtaining an approved G2G pass, PCR testing regimes and quarantine at their own expense.

All government mandates applicable to vaccine requirements will supersede the Off The Beaten Track WA Multi Day / Day Experience Policy.

WELLNESS DECLARATION

For some experiences, guests may be asked to complete a confidential pre-travel ‘Wellness Declaration’ form. This will give you, and all fellow guests travelling, an added level of assurance. Guests with any symptoms of illness prior to travel are requested not to travel. If you are unwell, please stay at home, and our team will do the same.

EXCEPTIONAL HYGIENE

Stringent cleaning and hygiene practices are already a feature of an Off The Beaten Track WA Experience. We have implemented additional cleaning, sanitising and hygiene practices in all areas with particular emphasis on high touch points and hard surfaces. We use Government recommended cleaning, disinfectant and sanitisation products, routines and monitoring. Off The Beaten Track WA ensures that guests and staff will be frequently reminded to adopt protocols for regular hygiene practices. We encourage all our guests to utilise the hand sanitiser available whilst attending our experiences. We will ensure our experience partners (contractors and suppliers) are also activating appropriate COVID Safe practices and that we have sighted and verified the COVID safe operating plans for all our partners.

Physical distancing measures will be in place wherever practicable to abide by current Government and Health advice. Off The Beaten Track WA ensures that we are applying physical distancing, considering both close and casual contact for the recommended periods of time. At the heart of every great guest experience is the sense of being supported and understood when times get tough. With the current world’s constant changing circumstances, we understand that guests’ needs may also change, and to accommodate this we are offering more flexibility with our bookings, rescheduling and cancellation options if affected by COVID-19. Off The Beaten Track WA is committed to working with guests to provide an alternative option rather than a cancellation fee.

MANAGING A POTENTIAL EXPOSURE OF COVID-19

To ensure a COVID safe experience, Off The Beaten Track WA will implement all required measures to reduce the risk of transmission in the event that a guest or staff member becomes unwell. Off The Beaten Track WA has robust operating protocols in place (which will continue to evolve) and remains vigilant to ensure the risk of exposure is reduced. These operating protocols include:

  • Our guides will deliver a pre-departure COVID-19 safety briefing prior to your experience outlining guest and staff expectations to ensure everyone’s safety whilst on tour.
  • Off The Beaten Track WA Guides will provide access to hand sanitiser for all guests.
  • Safe distancing practices will be maintained throughout your experience wherever practicable.

Symptomatic Person/s:

In the event of a symptomatic person or staff member during an experience, for the safety and wellbeing of the group our guides will reinforce safe distancing practices and hand hygiene by all attendees. Arrangements will be made for the symptomatic person to be transported to a medical facility for review, at their own cost.

  • In the event of a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case, for the safety and wellbeing of the group and our community, Off The Beaten Track WA will terminate the activities for the day and request the entire group to immediately self-isolate to reduce the risk of potential spread of the virus. Our Tour Guides will then liaise with Management who will make arrangements with local medical authorities for approval to proceed with the experience, or other guidance. In liaising with the local health authority, if you are required to be evacuated from the trip this is incurred at your own expense. Off The Beaten Track WA Management will seek to determine a reasonably practicable way to connect an evacuated person to the closest point of accessible transport, though we reserve the right to revoke this offer in consideration with the location destination. We strongly recommend you consider this risk and the availability of travel insurance to cover you for such risks prior to your experience commencement.
  • Off The Beaten Track WA seeks to ensures your safety with a minimum of 2 guides per Multi-Day Experience. If a guide is confirmed with COVID-19 symptoms they will be evacuated from the trip, and in the event a replacement guide cannot be secured for the group, your experience may be amended or terminated. The safety and wellbeing of guests and staff are of paramount importance to Off The Beaten Track WA and we will do all things reasonable and practicable to minimise those risks. Off The Beaten Track WA will make every effort to ensure you have a great time, however we reserve the right to amend your itinerary after the experience has commenced to deal with unforeseen events or circumstances.
