Deb

Deb’s journey with Off The Beaten Track WA began in March 2021 with a thrilling Swan River kayak tour—a gift from a friend that ignited her passion for adventure. A little nervous but eager, she then embarked on her first OTBT twilight hike with a friend and soon discovered the magic of joining OTBT’s hikes solo, where every experience brought new encounters and connections.

Becoming a Support Guide with OTBT was a dream come true, allowing Deb to share her love for hiking, inspire hesitant adventurers, and be part of a like-minded community. Now, she makes it a priority to hit the trails every weekend, as hiking has become her happy place.

A dedicated endurance hiker, Deb completed the Bibbulmun Track end-to-end solo in 2024—an achievement that speaks to her resilience and love for long-distance trekking. She continues to push her limits, recently conquering two Grade 5 hikes in the Stirling Range within 24 hours.

For Deb, OTBT is more than just hiking—it’s a supportive and inspiring community that fuels her ambitions, fosters lasting friendships, and provides endless opportunities for personal growth amidst Australia’s stunning landscapes.
