Tour Description
The Helena Pipehead Walk is a moderately easy hike through Kalamunda National Park. The trail follows the pipeline past the picturesque Helena Pipehead Dam, up some steep but short rocky hills to stunning sweeping views of Piesse Brook. Granite boulders and Wandoo woodlands are a real lovely feature of this Perth trail.
Join us for a sunrise hike as we enjoy the picturesque views of the Helena River Valley and Helena Pipehead Dam. We will take a short detour and head off the beaten track to enjoy a delicious morning tea at a secret location with a view.
Every day starts with a sunrise, but it’s what we do before it sets that matters!
Off The Beaten Track WA provides a trained and experienced Guide/Host for our Hiking Experiences & Adventure Tours. We carry two-way communication devices, a personal location beacon when phone signal is not available and we’re a fully licensed, insured and accredited Western Australian tourism business providing hiking and adventure experiences with a twist!

Tour Terrain & Experience Level
The distance is 7km and manageable for beginner hikers with a reasonable level of fitness or intermediate hikers. The terrain has some short sharp hills with loose gravel.

Meeting Place: End of Helena Valley Road, Helena Valley. We encourage car pooling for this tour as there is limited parking. Please coordinate your car pooling inside our private Facebook Group – OTBT Connect.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
No-shows and cancellations received within 7 days of tour departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Cancellations received 8-14 days prior to the tour departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations received over 15 days prior to the tour departure will receive 0% cancellation fee and a full refund minus book/transaction fees.
Customers can transfer their booking to a friend or family member with no penalty but must advise in writing so Off The Beaten Track WA can provide confirmation information to this individual and ensure waivers are completed.
All bookings are made online via Rezdy Stripe or Paypal and are inclusive of GST and will incur a booking fee. The booking fee is non-refundable in the case of a cancellation.
If Off The Beaten Track WA cancels a tour you will be eligible to transfer amounts paid to another departure date or alternatively receive a full refund.

Your health and safety is our highest priority. In the interest of ensuring our guests stay safe and healthy whilst participating in our experiences, we recommend you keep a distance of 1.5m away from other guests during your time with Off The Beaten Track WA and if you are unwell, please stay at home.

COVID_19 Measures
We encourage all hikers to keep a distance of 1.5m away from others and utilise the hand sanitizer available whilst on our hikes. If you are unwell, please stay at home, and we’ll do the same. If the sharing of food is still not deemed safe by this event start date, trail snacks will be provide as an alternative to gourmet morning tea.
