Jarrahdale Railway Heritage Trail

TRAIL DETAILS

Start Point: Nettleton Rd, Jarrahdale

Distance: 8 kms

Duration: 2 hours

If you’re in the market for a new bumper, muffler, wheelchair, tyres, umbrella or kitchen sink then you will find these items and many more on the Jarrahdale Railway Heritage Trail!

This 8km trail starts at the corner of Nettleton Rd and Jarrahdale Rd and takes you through jarrah and wandoo bushland, along the disused railway built in 1872. At times you will be blessed with some beautiful views of small creeks, granite boulders and surrounding hills but you will be sadly let down by the amount of rubbish that has been dumped in the area.

With so much potential, I have made it my mission to return to this trail in the upcoming weeks to do a clean-up and hopefully make this trail a little bit more awesome!

**Update

On Sunday 20 August 2017 I was incredibly honoured to have spent the gorgeous sunny Winter’s afternoon with 20 awesome people, cleaning up the Jarrahdale Railway Heritage Trail!

A huge heartfelt thank you to Tammy, Maureen, Luther, Linda, Harmony, Macy, Pearl, Unice, Ned, Trevor, Bea, Alora, Clare, Apilado, Deirdre, Andrew, Mark, Caris & Didier! All of you worked your butts off (whilst doing something we all love) and achieved something amazing! A big shout out and thanks to DBCA (DPaW), Keep Australia Beautiful, Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale and Jarrahdale Heritage Society for all your support.

I am happy to report that beauty has been restored to this trail!
