Kirsten

Kirsten

Raised on a farm in the breathtaking coastal town of Bremer Bay on WA’s south coast, Kirsten has always had a deep connection to the outdoors, particularly the State’s stunning beaches and hiking trails. An avid camper and adventurer, she has travelled extensively across Australia, exploring some of the country’s most remote and challenging landscapes on foot.

Kirsten thrives on endurance hiking and is drawn to trails that push physical and mental limits. In 2024, she completed one of the world’s toughest treks—the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea—an experience that reinforced her passion for resilience, adventure, and the power of the human spirit. She loves empowering and upskilling hikers, helping them build confidence to take on new challenges and explore beyond their comfort zones.

In WA, the Stirling Ridge Walk remains her ultimate favourite, so much so that she tackled it twice in 2021 and again in 2022. She also highly rates her 2020 Cape to Cape experience, the dramatic landscapes of Karijini, and one of Albany’s toughest yet most rewarding hikes, the Bald Head Trail.

When she’s not guiding with OTBT, Kirsten brings her storytelling skills to life in her corporate role. Outside of work, she can often be found cooking up a storm or balancing it out with a walk and swim at Mullaloo Beach.
