Tour Description
Experience the magic of a Perth city sunset as you’re suspended 72m above the Swan River on the Matagarup Bridge! Combine this with a 5km urban hike along the foreshore and a delicious dinner at The Camfield and you have yourself a very special evening!
The Matagarup Bridge Climb is no ordinary walk up a bridge – this is a true climb! You will be required to undertake a physically demanding trek up 314 steps on a 45-degree angle and shimmy, slide and squeeze through tight spaces to reach the SkyView Deck – an open-air viewing platform 72 metres above the Swan River.
After we enjoy our afternoon meander along the foreshore we’ll check-in at Zip+Climb HQ before we undertake a safety induction and are fitted with a full body harness, helmet and a bridge latch device with tether to ensure your safety at all times. Once you are clipped onto the bridge, the real adventure begins! This is a challenging climb and not for the faint-hearted!
Your professional guide will escort you up the eastern side of the main arch to the midway point, allowing for the group to catch a collective breath. You will be entertained with interesting stories of the Swan River area as you are ascending the bridge.
The second part of the climb will take you to the summit. The SkyView Deck is an open-air viewing platform, complete with Perth’s first glass bottom platform, suspended 72 metres above the river.
You will be 100% enclosed, allowing you to safely untether and walk around the deck to enjoy the 360 degree panoramic views of Perth.
After we descend the bridge, we’ll head to the Camfield for a tasty dinner and drink of something cold and crisp – You’ve sure earnt it!
As we hike back along the foreshore we’ll admire the Perth city lights come to life – they don’t call it the ‘city of lights’ for nothing!
This experience offers you the opportunity to view Perth in an entirely new perspective.

What to Bring?
- Camera
- 2-3ltrs water
- Personal first aid
- A good attitude and big smile!
What to Wear: Long pants and long sleeved top is suggested. Shorts can ride up with the harness and aren’t advisable. No exposed stomachs as this can rub on the harness and be very uncomfortable. Enclosed rubber sole shoes are required for the climb for safety purposes. Please ensure long hair is tied in a low pony tail.

Booking & Cancellation Policy
No-shows and cancellations received within 7 days of tour departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Cancellations received 8-14 days prior to the tour departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations received over 15 days prior to the tour departure will receive 0% cancellation fee and a full refund minus book/transaction fees.
Customers can transfer their booking to a friend or family member with no penalty but must advise in writing so Off The Beaten Track WA can provide confirmation information to this individual and ensure waivers are completed.
All bookings are made online via Rezdy Stripe or Paypal and are inclusive of GST and will incur a booking fee. The booking fee is non-refundable in the case of a cancellation.
If Off The Beaten Track WA cancels a tour you will be eligible to transfer amounts paid to another departure date or alternatively receive a full refund.
COVID-19 Tour Policy
COVID19: Your health and safety is our highest priority. Our hospitality partners, are now mandated by WA Government to ensure guests are double vaccinated to enter their licensed premises and will require proof of vaccination to be shown prior to entry or service.
The onus for proof of vaccination is with each individual guest, and failure to provide a digital certificate when requested will result in the guest being unable to participate in that component of the experience.
In the interest of ensuring our guests stay safe and healthy whilst participating in our experiences, we recommend you keep a distance of 1.5m away from other guests during your time with Off The Beaten Track WA and if you are unwell, please stay at home.
