Monique’s journey with OTBT began as a guest on the Full Moon Yoga Hike. “I absolutely loved it and couldn’t wait to do another one,” she recalls. “The feeling lasted for days after—I was hooked.”
Having lived in the hills all her life, Monique’s connection to nature runs deep. She spent her childhood exploring the bush around Darlington on horseback and building cubbies with her siblings. Hiking feels like home to her, offering a sense of peace and wonder that has always been a part of her life.
As a hairdresser for 28 years, Monique has a passion for creating relaxing experiences for her clients. That same love for connection carries over into hiking. “I enjoy seeing people take in the scenery, reach their personal fitness goals, and connect with others on the trail,” she says.
Being part of a strong community is important to Monique, and she cherishes the sense of belonging OTBT provides. One day, she dreams of completing the Cape to Cape with her beloved husband.
Monique is also a proud mum to two adventurous daughters, Lilly and Frankii, who share her love for the outdoors. They spend their days exploring the family’s ten-acre property in Sawyers Valley, embracing the beauty of nature just as their mother always has.
