Paul

Originally from Kojonup, Paul grew up on the south coast in Albany which was the perfect backyard for his adventurous spirit. Moving to Perth to study, he was soon actively involved in the university outdoor club where he explored all over Western Australia doing multi day bushwalks, white water kayaking, rock climbing, caving, and cycling.

After crewing on a square rigger through the Pacific Islands, Paul decided there was a big wide world to be explored so spent the next 5 five years backpacking through nearly sixty countries. If there was a trail to discover, he went walking, including multi day treks in New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Northern Thailand (Golden Triangle), China and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania!

Back home, Paul has walked both the Bibbulmun Track and the Cape to Cape Track end to end, and has also done his favourite hike, the Stirling Range Ridge Walk, twelve times. His favourite day walks are the Bald Head Trail in Torndirrup NP and the Coastal Trail in Cape Le Grande NP.

Paul has had a long involvement in a wide variety of outdoor activities in WA. As an OTBT Guide he loves sharing his passion for the natural places and beauty, the unique animals and plants, and the indigenous culture of this this amazing, ancient land.
