Tour Description

Do snakes fascinate, scare or concern you ? Join Off The Beaten Track WA for the Snakes & Lake Hiking Experience and gain the knowledge to dispel your fear!

Together, we’ll enoy a short hike around Lake Leschenaultia, through marri and wandoo woodlands followed by a delicious gourmet morning tea.

The guru of outback survival Bob Cooper will then escort us to his private bush camp where he will guide us through a workshop on everyone’s favourite reptile – the beloved snake!

Bob will introduce snakes to us from an awareness and safety point of view and cover the psychology of fear, local venomous snakes behaviours, first aid treatment, protective clothing/footwear and precautions. He will then bring out some venomous snakes to view, followed by some “user-friendly” pythons for those that would like to have a hands-on experience.

Join us for a morning of hiking, nature, snake awareness, delicious morning tea and lots of laughs!

Off The Beaten Track WA provide a trained and experienced Lead Guide and Tail Ender for our hikes. We carry two-way communication devices, a personal location beacon when phone signal is not available and we’re a fully licensed, insured and accredited Western Australian tourism business provide hiking and adventure experiences with a twist!
