Tour Description
The Point Walter/Blackwall Reach area is situated at the top end of a tidal gorge that stretches down to the ocean. This unique area comprises of a mixture of sandy bays and eroded limestone habitat.
Off The Beaten Track WA invites you to join us for an afternoon exploring the limestone cliffs of Point Walter & Blackwall Reach from the land and the water on the Sunset SUP Hiking Experience!
We will begin our experience with a 3km hike through lush peppermint trees to Blackwall Reach, and admire the picturesque limestone cliffs along the banks of the Swan River. After our hike, we will head into the water on stand up paddle boards and be guided through a 1.5 hr lesson with SoulKite SUP. Throughout the session, we’ll get you standing up and feeling comfortable amongst the stillness of the Swan River then we’ll put your new skills to the test with some fun skill based games making for a unique and memorable experience. You will enjoy a delicious gourmet platter at the Point Walter Reserve as you watch the sunset to finish your memorable evening on the water!
Off The Beaten Track WA provides a trained and experienced Guide/Host for our Hiking Experiences & Adventure Tours. We carry two-way communication devices, a personal location beacon when phone signal is not available and we’re a fully licensed, insured and accredited Western Australian tourism business providing hiking and adventure experiences with a twist!

Please arrive 15mins early to sign the waiver, fit your life jacket and take part in the safety briefing. This will ensure you can hop on the SUP boards and head off on your adventure!

Booking & Cancellation Policy
No-shows and cancellations received within 48 hours of hike departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Cancellations received 48hrs – 1 week prior will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations received 1 week + can have a full refund or credit towards another tour. Customers can transfer their booking to a friend or family member with no penalty but must advise in writing so Off The Beaten Track WA can provide confirmation information to this individual and ensure waivers are completed. All bookings are made online via Rezdy Stripe or Paypal and are inclusive of GST and will incur a booking fee. If a customer cancels their booking within the timeframes eligible for a full/part refund a refund/part refund or transfer to another tour/experience will be fulfilled. If Off The Beaten Track WA cancels an event due to inclement weather you will be eligible to transfer amounts paid to another departure date or alternatively receive a full refund.

COVID_19 Measures
We encourage all hikers to keep a distance of 1.5m away from others and utilise the hand sanitizer available whilst on our hikes. If you are unwell, please stay at home, and we’ll do the same. If the sharing of food is still not deemed safe by this event start date, trail snacks will be provide as an alternative to gourmet morning tea.
