Tour Description

The Eagle View Walk Trail in John Forrest National Park is 15kms of pure hiking gold! Combine this with the iconic Swan View tunnel and a dose of history and you have the Ultimate John Forrest Hike!

The Swan View Tunnel, was built in 1895 and is the earliest tunnel in WA’s history. The construction of the railway line was a major engineering project managed by C Y O’Connor. Join us to hear some historical tales about this impressive structure whilst you overlook the valley and admire the views of John Forrest National Park. You’ll experience stunning views of the Swan Coastal Plain from the top of Eagle View Lookout and the beautiful granite outcrop and boulders near Christmas Tree Creek! Other highlights of this experience include Jane Brook, National Park Falls and Hovea Falls!

Join us for a full day hike in John Forrest National Park and be guided along the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail and Eagle View Trail. You’ll hike past granite boulders and outcrops, waterfalls, wildflowers and through lush jarrah forest.

Off The Beaten Track WA provide a trained and experienced Lead Guide and Tail Ender for our hikes. We carry two-way communication devices, a personal location beacon when phone signal is not available and we’re a fully licensed, insured and accredited Western Australian tourism business provide hiking and adventure experiences with a twist!
