Taking the next step into overnight hiking can be very rewarding and a lot of fun. It’s important to be prepared and feel confident so you have an awesome experience! This is your chance to give overnight hiking a go with our Off The Beaten Track WA guides who will assist you, educate you and answer any questions you may have.

Off The Beaten Track WA will lead you on a hike along a spur tail through mixed jarrah forest from Sullivan Rock to Alyi-Wa Miya Group Campsite. After setting up camp, you will enjoy dinner to the sound of the black cockatoos song. As the sun goes down we will light the campfire and enjoy the mesmerising flames, warmth and ambience as the cool night air sets in.

On day two you will wake to a stunning sunrise over the valley of Monadnocks Conservation Park and enjoy a camp breakfast before donning your packs and hiking back towards Sullivan Rock along the Bibbulmun Track summiting Mt Cuthbert and Mt Vincent along the way where you will see some of the most stunning views in the Darling Range.

Off The Beaten Track WA provide a trained and experienced Lead Guide and Support Guide on our hikes. We carry two-way communication devices, a personal location beacon when phone signal is not available and we’re a fully licensed, insured and accredited Western Australian tourism business provide hiking and adventure experiences with a twist!

Alyi-Wa Miya Group Campsite – Bibbulmun Track

Distance: Total hike distance over 2 days is approximately 16kms. The trail is mixed terrain but majority of the hike on day 1 is quite gentle. Day 2 turns things up a notch with an ascent up the Northern side of Mt Cuthbert, then back down, and up Mt Vincent. We’ll be going a pace where everyone can enjoy the journey as well as the destination.

Meeting Place: Sullivan Rock Car Park, Albany Highway, Mt Cooke

What to Bring? As a rough guide you will require a tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag, stove, pots & stove gas, liner, pillow, clothes, toiletries, 3ltrs water, and a pack big enough to put it all in (55-65ltr).

Gear Hire: OTBT has tents, sleeping mats, stove & pot sets, 65ltr backpacks available to hire. Please add gear on the extras page as you move through the booking process. Please note you will be required to pay a refundable bond on hired equipment. The bond fee is dependent on the equipment hired. Equipment can be collected from our “Basecamp” in Serpentine the week of the tour.
