Jump, scramble & explore the South West coast by foot and in the ocean on the Cape to Coasteering Experience.
Learn about the geology, flora and local history as you hike 4kms along one of Australia’s best trails, the Cape to Cape Track, followed by an exhilarating Coasteering session at Wyadup Rocks!
We’ll hit the road early, stopping for coffee at the Crooked Carrot Café en-route to the South West Region of WA. Our adventure will begin at Smith’s Beach in Yallingup! You’ll start the day by following the Cape to Cape Track up a short steep scramble to the top of a granite lookout and admire views over Canal Rocks and ‘The Aquarium’. The rugged trail will lead us through some coastal shrubs out to limestone cliffs that overlook Wyadup Rocks and the location for our next adventure; Coasteering!
Coasteering is a blend of rock-hopping, shore-scrambling, swell-riding, and rock jumping creating the ultimate aquatic adventure.
You will be kitted out with a wetsuit, buoyancy vest and a helmet before we jump in the water! You’ll rock-hop, climb and jump around the ancient granite coastline as the current surges and ebbs, making your way across the natural canal to where very few people get to. Depending on the season, you may spot whales or dolphins frolicking in the ocean nearby.
After getting wet and wild at Wyadup, we’ll head to a local brewery for lunch before we board the OTBT bus and head back to Perth.
This experience is suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness that can swim 25m unaided.
