Adventure awaits in the heart of Serpentine National Park!

Get ready for a morning of muddy boots, big adventures and unforgettable family memories as you and your little explorer discover the magic of the bush together.

We’ll wander beneath towering jarrah and marri trees, scramble over fallen logs, squeeze through giant tree hollows, splash in muddy puddles, search for wildlife and uncover all the hidden treasures the forest has to offer. Every twist and turn of the trail becomes an opportunity for imagination, discovery and play.

Along the way, our experienced guides will share fascinating stories about the local flora, fauna and history of Serpentine and Jarrahdale, while giving parents plenty of ideas and inspiration to keep children engaged, curious and excited about spending time outdoors.

We’ll pause for a delicious morning tea surrounded by nature before setting off on more adventures, giving little legs a chance to refuel while soaking up the sights and sounds of the forest.

Can your little explorer complete the adventure? They’ll climb, balance, crawl, splash, discover and play their way through one of Perth’s most beautiful forest playgrounds, building confidence, resilience and a lifelong love of the outdoors along the way.

This is more than a hike, it’s an opportunity to disconnect from screens, reconnect with nature and create memories your family will treasure long after the muddy boots have been cleaned.

This is a small hike with a big vibe!

Total hike distance is 3kms, the grade 2 terrain is uneven with some rocks and fallen trees to navigate. There are some gentle ascents and descents on gravel so we recommend sturdy shoes with good grip. The trail is achievable for most people with a reasonable level of fitness but no hiking experience necessary. You and your kiddos will be well supported by the OTBT Team!
