Day 1 – Saturday

After meeting at PHDC (to hand out your purchased food packs or small hire equipment) and loading up ready with your overnight gear, we kick off our 2 days on the Bibbulmun Track by hiking for a gentle 2.7km through the beautiful mixed jarrah forest. Arriving at Ball Creek campsite, your guides will run through camp etiquette and give you a brief orientation before providing you with some guidance on tent site selection and set up.

With camp all set, it is time to lean some bushcraft skills, and forage for firewood. Late afternoon we will get out the stoves and you will cook yourselves some dinner, and with the help of your handy OTBT Guide, we’ll build a crackling campfire (weather permitting) for everyone to relax and enjoy the mesmerizing flames and warmth. Then it’s time for a short but fun night hike, until it’s time to retire to our tents and enjoy a night’s rest serenaded by the chorus of the forest.

Day 2- Sunday

After waking up to the beauty of the forest you will fuel up on breakfast before we depart for our hike along the Bibbulmun Track to Manns Gully. You only need to carry your small pack with essentials for this 5km return hike. At Manns Gully your guides will lead a basic survival session with the kids.

Back at Ball Creek camp we will have lunch before packing up and retracing our steps back to Perth Hills Discovery Centre, arriving mid-afternoon. You and the kids will finish with a huge feeling of achievement, having completed 3 hikes, as well as conquering an overnight experience.
