Lesmurdie Falls Sunset & Sparkling Hike

Duration

2 hrs

Region

Destination Perth

Distance

4 km

Difficulty

Beginner

Experience Lesmurdie Falls in a whole new light as golden hour fades into dusk and the Perth Hills come alive after dark.

We’ll begin our evening overlooking the spectacular Lesmurdie Falls and Swan Coastal Plain, raising a glass of Western Australian sparkling wine as the setting sun washes the landscape in warm golden light. Settle in with a delicious antipasto grazing board, soak up the sweeping views and watch as the city below slowly begins to sparkle.

Then, as daylight disappears, the experience shifts.

With the visual distractions of the day fading away, your other senses begin to take over. Listen to the sounds of the bush after dark, breathe in the earthy scents of the surrounding forest and experience the changing atmosphere of Mundy Regional Park as we switch on our headtorches and set off on foot.

Our 4km guided night hike loops through the valley and around the Falls, offering a completely different perspective of this much-loved Perth Hills landscape. There’s something wonderfully adventurous about hiking by headtorch – following the beam along the trail, listening for nocturnal wildlife and seeing familiar bushland transformed by darkness.

Part sunset picnic, part sensory experience and part night-time adventure, this is a beautiful way to slow down, reconnect with nature and experience the magic of the Perth Hills from daylight to darkness.
