Explore two of the best mountains in the Stirling Range in the warm glow from the sunrise and sunset with Off The Beaten Track WA!

Join us for an epic fun-filled weekender to the Great Southern Region to experience the breathtaking Bluff Knoll at sunrise and ruggedly scenic Mt Talyuberlup for sunset!

After we travel down to the Great Southern Region, stopping at Quindanning for lunch along the way, we’ll check in to our rammed earth cottages and relax ready for a jam packed day of hiking!

Up early the next day to climb the tallest peak in the Great Southern- Bluff Knoll! At 1098m, Bluff Knoll is truly spectacular! The climb up to the top may feel like a never ending staircase but you will be well rewarded with impeccable views as you walk through the clouds and watch the sunrise from above them.

After a hearty breakfast and a nap, we’ll tackle one of the most ruggedest peaks in the Striling Range – Mt Talyuberlup, which stands proud at 724m! It might not be the tallest, but she is a mighty and rugged peak offering you the chance to peek through a large cave, scramble up over rocks and enjoy 360 degree views from the summit. The steep climb and scramble up the scree will leave you feeling exhilarated and once you lay your eyes on that glorious sunset you will literally be feeling on top of the world!

This truly is a magnificent experience and something you’ll never forget!

Off The Beaten Track WA provides a trained and experienced Guide/Host for our Hiking Experiences & Adventure Tours. We carry two-way communication devices, a personal location beacon when phone signal is not available and we’re a fully licensed, insured and accredited Western Australian tourism business providing hiking and adventure experiences with a twist!

Itinerary

Day One – After checking in to your Rammed Earth Cottage, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and a nice relaxing evening around the campfire.

Day Two – Up early the next morning, we’ll set off up the majestic Bluff Knoll with our head torches on ready to experience the breathtaking sunrise views from mountain top. This truly is a magnificent experience and something you’ll never forget! After that monster climb we’ll head back to Basecamp for a big cooked breakfast and some free time to rest and recharge the legs before our afternoon hike up the ruggedly scenic and steep – Mt Talyuberlup!

Day Three – After breaky we’ll check out and head back to Perth, making a lunch stop in Katanning on the way (at guests cost). Your Stirling Range Soiree has come to an end but the memories and sense of achivement from this long weekend will last a lifetime!

Tour Terrain & Experience Level

Fitness Level: A medium/high level of fitness is required for these hikes. We will be climbing 2 mountains in the same day. However, we will be going at a pace where we enjoy the journey as well as the destination.

Tour Departure Point

8:30am – Charter Bus Parking Area, Hay Street, Perth (Opposite Holiday Inn).
9:15am – Kwinana Train Station, Car Park 1, Drop off and pick up zone (Next to Taxi rank)

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Payment: To secure your place on this tour you can either pay in full or pay a 20% deposit. With the balance due 30 days prior to tour departure. Payment requests will be emailed at intervals leading up to your departure to make paying off the balance more manageable.

Cancellations: No-shows and cancellations received within 30 days of tour departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Cancellations received 30-60 days prior to the tour departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

Cancellations received over 60 days prior to the tour departure will receive a full refund minus 15% administration fee.

Customers can transfer their booking to a friend or family member with no penalty but must advise in writing so Off The Beaten Track WA can provide confirmation information to this individual and ensure waivers are completed.

All bookings are made online via Rezdy Stripe or Paypal and are inclusive of GST and will incur a booking fee. The booking fee is non-refundable in the case of a cancellation.

If Off The Beaten Track WA cancels a tour you will be eligible to transfer amounts paid to another departure date or alternatively receive a full refund.
