Tracy Jones is the Founder and Director of Off The Beaten Track WA, driven by a deep passion for getting people outdoors and fostering a strong hiking community. With a background in marketing and events, she thrives on combining creativity with nature to design unique, inclusive, and accessible hiking experiences that inspire and empower people of all abilities.
Growing up in the South West of WA, Tracy developed a deep appreciation for the region’s diverse landscapes—from the rugged peaks of the Stirling Range to the breathtaking coastline of the Cape to Cape Track and the towering Karri forests of Pemberton. Closer to home, she is often found exploring the trails of Serpentine National Park.
Her love for adventure has taken her beyond WA, ticking off some epic hiking goals like Tasmania’s Overland Track and Three Capes Track. Most recently, she and her wife Cindy completed one of New Zealand’s Great Walks, the Routeburn Track. “Hiking for three days surrounded by snow-capped mountains and cascading waterfalls was absolutely incredible!” she recalls.
A passionate multi-day hiker, Tracy is also on track to complete the Bibbulmun Track end-to-end sectionally, with her sights set on finishing in 2025.
Beyond the trails, Tracy is a dedicated advocate for Accessible Tourism, using her expertise to educate and inspire industry professionals on creating inclusive outdoor experiences. As a keynote speaker, she shares her knowledge and lived experience, championing accessibility in tourism and encouraging businesses to embrace inclusivity. Her leadership has positioned Off The Beaten Track WA as a trailblazer in making hiking and adventure accessible to all.
Tracy and Cindy also recently launched Trail Tails WA Podcast to share the stories we hear out on the trails with a theme of accessibility and inclusion. She loves people, connection and the way OTBT is able to improve lives through connecting people with nature.
