The Christmas Tree Creek Walk trail in John Forest National Park provides panoramic views of the Perth city skyline, multiple creek crossings, spectacular waterfalls and an abundance of wildflowers.

After departing from the Rangers Station the trail takes you alongside Jane Brook, underneath the Railway and down to the National Park Falls via a wildflower lined trail which is truly superb. The National Park Falls are a treasure in themselves and a great spot to stop and take in the natural beauty of your surroundings. After making our way up to the Eagle View Lookout we will follow the trail into some colourful heathlands until we reach the very special Christmas Tree Creek.

Join us for a half day hike in the Perth Hills and be guided along the Christmas Tree Creek trail, in John Forest National Park, past waterfalls and cascades, take in scenic views of the Perth city skyline and wander through the wildflowers and gorgeous mixed Jarrah forest.

This is the perfect trail for those that want to experience the best of the Eagle View trail in just 10.5kms!

Time: 10am – 2pm

Distance: 10.5Kms

Includes: 10.5 km guided hike, National Park Fees,  nutritious morning tea/trail snacks, complimentary use of hiking poles, sunscreen, repellent & access to all hike photographs.

What to Bring? Camera, water, lunch/snack, a good attitude and big smile!

Meeting place: Meet at the Ranger’s Station at John Forest National Park at 9:45am for introductions, registration and safety briefing.

COVID-19 Measures: We encourage all hikers to keep a distance of 1.5m away from others and utilise the hand sanitizer available whilst on our hikes. If you are unwell, please stay at home, and we’ll do the same. If the sharing of food is still not deemed safe by this event start date, trail snacks will be provide as an alternative to gourmet morning tea.

Off The Beaten Track WA provide a trained and experienced Lead Guide and Tail Ender for our hikes. We carry two-way communication devices, a personal location beacon when phone signal is not available and we’re a fully licensed, insured and accredited Western Australian tourism business provide hiking and adventure experiences with a twist!

Booking and cancellation policy

No-shows and cancellations received within 48 hours of hike departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Cancellations received 48hrs – 1 week prior will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations received 1 week + can have a full refund or credit towards another event. Customers can transfer their booking to a friend or family member with no penalty but must advise in writing so Off The Beaten Track WA can provide confirmation information to this individual. All bookings are made via Stripe or Paypal. Off The Beaten Track WA will incur the 2.9% + $0.30 transaction fees for the booking transaction. If a customer cancels their booking within the timeframes eligible for a full/part refund. Their refund amount will be minus the transaction fees of the original booking. If Off The Beaten Track WA cancels an event due to inclement weather you will be eligible to transfer amounts paid to another departure date or alternatively receive a full refund.
