This hike is not for the faint hearted!
The Kalamunda to Hewitt’s Hut section of the Bibbulmun Track features steep rocky terrain, flowing waters, granite boulders and amazing valley views all combined in a 21km return hike. Off The Beaten Track WA will guide you along the Bibbulmun Track, through Piesse Brook and Paulls Valley as you take in the views of one the most difficult and scenic sections of this world class trail!
If you are looking for a hiking challenge, want to push yourself and conquer steep rocky hills, training for a big trek or wanting to improve your endurance – this hiking experience is one not to be missed!
Time: 7am – 2pm* (*Approx)
Includes: 21 km guided endurance training hike, nutritious morning tea, complimentary use of hiking poles, sunscreen, repellent & access to all hike photographs.
Start Point: Coles Carpark opposite Bibbulmun Track Northern Terminus, Kalamunda.
Fitness level: This event is not for the faint hearted. We will be travelling at a decent pace and pushing the limits. A reasonable level of fitness is required.
What to Bring? 2-3ltrs water, camera, a good attitude and big smile! If you are wanting to deepen your training, please carry a pack with 7-10kgs weight.
COVID-19 Measures: We encourage all hikers to keep a distance of 1.5m away from others and utilise the hand sanitizer available whilst on our hikes. If you are unwell, please stay at home, and we’ll do the same. If the sharing of food is still not deemed safe by this event start date, trail snacks will be provide as an alternative to gourmet morning tea.
Off The Beaten Track WA provide a trained and experienced Lead Guide and Tail Ender for our hikes. We carry two-way communication devices, a personal location beacon when phone signal is not available and we’re a fully licensed, insured and accredited Western Australian tourism business provide hiking and adventure experiences with a twist!
