Mt Cooke is the highest peak in the Darling Ranges and is definitely my favourite!
Unlike its buddies Mt Cuthbert and Mt Vincent, Mt Cooke features around 3km of trail along the main ridge of the summit and spectacular views in all directions. Within the first 5 minutes of this hike you’ll find yourself ascending up the South side of the monadnock and will be immediately impressed by large sloping granite outcrops and giant boulders. The track can be quite rugged in parts but it’s a whole lot of fun!
As we meander along the summit of Mt Cooke, we will stop to admire the views from 582m above sea level and enjoy a delicious gourmet picnic.
Includes: 11km guided hike & gourmet picnic.
What to Bring? Camera, 2ltrs water, rain coat, personal first aid, hat, jacket, a good attitude and big smile!
