The Point Walter/Blackwall Reach area is situated at the top end of a tidal gorge that stretches down to the ocean. This unique area comprises of a mixture of sandy bays and eroded limestone habitat.
Off The Beaten Track WA invites you to join us for a morning exploring the limestone cliffs of Point Walter & Blackwall Reach from the land and the water on the Point Walter SUP Hike!
We will begin our morning with a 3km hike through lush peppermint trees to Blackwall Reach, and admire the picturesque limestone cliffs along the banks of the Swan River. After our hike, we will head into the water on stand up paddle boards and be guided through a 1.5 hr lesson with SoulKite SUP. Throughout the lesson, we’ll get you standing up and feeling comfortable amongst the stillness of the Swan River then we’ll put your new skills to the test with some fun skill based games making for a unique and memorable experience. You will enjoy a delicious gourmet platter at the Point Walter Reserve to finish your memorable morning on the water!
Depart: End of Honour Ave, Point Walter
Includes: 3 km guided hike, 1.5 hr SUP lesson, all equipment, sunscreen, gourmet platter for lunch & amazing memories!
What to Wear and Bring? Wear comfortable walking clothes and shoes for the hike, bring bathers for the SUP, towel, camera, water, hat, a good attitude and big smile!
COVID-19 Measures: We encourage all hikers to keep a distance of 1.5m away from others and utilise the hand sanitizer available whilst on our hikes. If you are unwell, please stay at home, and we’ll do the same.
Off The Beaten Track WA provide a trained and experienced Lead Guide and Tail Ender for our hikes. We carry two-way communication devices, a personal location beacon when phone signal is not available and we’re a fully licensed, insured and accredited Western Australian tourism business provide hiking and adventure experiences with a twist!
