Experience a tranquil hike along the riverbanks of the Swan River from Bells Rapids, through Walyunga National Park to Syd’s Rapids as we guide you on a scenic 11km hike, before enjoying a delicious 2 course lunch and wine tasting at Mandoon Estate in the beautiful Swan Valley. 

From old bridges crossing the Swan River, to grassy riverbanks, rapids and cascades, large granite boulders and delightful wandoo woodlands, you will be totally immersed in the picturesque scenery of the Swan Valley.

After working up an appetite, we’ll head to the picturesque Mandoon Estate, to enjoy two course of fine dining at the Wild Swan whilst we lookout over the beautifully manicured gardens. You can expect amazing views, lots of laughs, historical tales, flora facts and delicious local gourmet produce at Mandoon Estate on the Swan Valley | Hike, Wine & Dine Experience! This experience will leave you feeling refreshed, inspired and bellyful!

Price: $150

Time: 8am – 4pm

Includes: 11.5 km guided hike, return transport from either Baldivis, Cockburn or Mandoon Estate, morning tea with views, two course lunch with accompaniments at Wild Swan, Mandoon Estate, wine tasting at Mandoon Estate, complimentary use of hiking poles, sunscreen, repellent & access to all hike photographs.

Terrain: Moderate. Majority of the route is quite gentle though and achievable with most who can cover a distance of 11.5kms. You will be well supported by two OTBT guides and we offer complimentary hiking poles for anyone that needs a little added support.

Pick Up / Meeting Points:
OPTION 1: PU from Baldivis North Side Services (BP), Kwinana Fwy @ 6:50am | Drop off 4:15pm
OPTION 2: PU from Cockburn Train Station, @ 7:15am | Drop off 3:45pm
OPTION 3: PU from Mandoon Estate @ 8am | Drop off 3pm
Please advise your preferred pick up point upon booking.

What to Bring? 2-3ltrs water, camera, hungry appetite, personal medications/first aid, a good attitude and big smile!

COVID-19 Measures: We encourage all hikers to maintain a distance of 1.5m away from others whilst on our tours, and utilise the hand sanitizer available.  If you are unwell, please stay at home, and we’ll do the same.

Off The Beaten Track WA provide a trained and experienced Lead Guide and Tail Ender for our Tours. We carry two-way communication devices, a personal location beacon when phone signal is not available and we’re a fully licensed, insured and accredited Western Australian tourism business provide hiking and adventure experiences with a twist!

Booking and cancellation policy

No-shows and cancellations received within 48 hours of hike departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Cancellations received 48hrs – 1 week prior will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations received 1 week + can have a full refund or credit towards another event. Customers can transfer their booking to a friend or family member with no penalty but must advise in writing so Off The Beaten Track WA can provide confirmation information to this individual. All bookings are made via Stripe or Paypal. Off The Beaten Track WA will incur the 2.9% + $0.30 transaction fees for the booking transaction. If a customer cancels their booking within the timeframes eligible for a full/part refund. Their refund amount will be minus the transaction fees of the original booking. If Off The Beaten Track WA cancels an event due to inclement weather you will be eligible to transfer amounts paid to another departure date or alternatively receive a full refund.
