Midweek Meanders are back for 2020 with a brand new trail for our happy hikers – The Victoria Reservoir Walk Trail!
The Victoria Reservoir Walk is a 6km historic loop around the old and new Victoria Dam in Korung National Park.
This trail takes you through Jarrah and Marri forest that morph into delightful Wandoo woodlands. We will pass a perfectly positioned bench seat and stop to admire the scenic views of the Perth city skyline before we head down the well crafted wooden staircase to the New Victoria Reservoir.
We’ll take in the incredible blue waters of the reservoir as we enjoy a gourmet morning tea from small wooden pergola near the water’s edge. From here we’ll follow the trail to the Old Victoria Reservoir and get our dose of history before we follow the trail aside the valley to an old wooden bridge. This is a very scenic and interesting trail with lookouts, interpretive signage, granite outcrops and a multitude of landscapes to admire.
