Take a deep breath, feel the earth beneath your feet, and let the Perth Hills work their magic

Wanderfest
Take a deep breath, feel the earth beneath your feet, and let the Perth Hills work their magic.
This isn’t just a place—it’s an adventure waiting to be had. From the earthy scent of jarrah trees after a shower of rain to the sound of dirt crunching underfoot, every step in these hills is a moment to treasure. Picture standing on a ridge, gazing out at endless forests, or following the trail past waterfalls that tumble through ancient valleys. Wildflowers pop up just to say hello, and the crisp morning air is the ultimate wake-up call.
Perth Hills WanderFest is where it all comes together. This is your chance to dive into the wild beauty of Serpentine-Jarrahdale, Armadale, Kalamunda, Mundaring, and Gidgegannup. Explore sweeping views, soak in the history, and rediscover the joy of simply being outdoors.

Nestled in the heart of the Perth Hills, Lake Leschenaultia is an impressive recreational lake surrounded by magnificent native trees and wildflowers.
As part of the Perth Hills WanderFest series, we invite you to join us for an accessible and inclusive hike around Lake Leschenaultia, where you’ll wind through the shaded woodlands that hug the lake’s sparkling shoreline.
The impressive trail network at Lake Leschenaultia offers us a 3km beginner and accessible loop trail which is alive with the sounds of birdlife and the soft rustle of eucalypt leaves in the breeze. This gentle, well-formed trail invites walkers of all ages and abilities to enjoy the beauty of the Western Australian bushland at their own pace and fully guided by our award-winning guides.
You can expect to see the vivid blue lechenaultia biloba blooming in abundance and scatterings of many other delicate wildflowers, as you wander and explore in awe. Keep an eye out for red-capped parrots, the splendid fairy-wren, purple swamphen and red-tailed cockatoos high in the treetops and even the occasional grazing kangaroo as you wander this accessible and immersive trail.
As we reach the sandy shores of the lake, you’ll be treated to a delicious and nutritious morning tea provided by The Flackseed and sponsored by the Shire of Mundaring.
The compacted gravel path is mostly flat with wide, open sections and regular seating areas, making it suitable for wheelchairs, prams, walking aids, and anyone seeking a relaxed, low-impact outdoor experience.
The WanderFest Mundaring Accessible Hike is a perfect blend of tranquillity, beauty, and accessibility.

The great outdoors is for every body. Whether you’re rolling, strolling, or pacing yourself at your own rhythm, nature doesn’t discriminate—and neither should access to it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Unforgettable Sunset Yoga Hike with Off The Beaten Track WA What an incredible experience! The Sunset Yoga Hike with Off The Beaten Track WA was the perfect blend of nature, movement, and mindfulness – and it wouldn’t have been the same without our amazing guide, Mike. From the very beginning, Mike made everyone feel welcome and at ease. His passion for the outdoors, knowledge of the local area, and calm, friendly nature really set the tone for the entire experience. The hike itself was stunning, with beautiful views, peaceful bushland, and just the right level of challenge. When we reached the summit, we were greeted with jaw-dropping views and a sunset that painted the entire sky in shades of pink, orange, and gold. It was the perfect setting for our yoga session. The yoga practice was gentle and grounding, guided by a wonderful instructor who created a space where everyone – no matter their skill level – could relax and connect. Doing yoga as the sun dipped below the horizon was something truly special.Huge thanks to Mike and the OTBT team for creating such a meaningful and memorable experience. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply grateful. Can’t wait to book my next adventure with you!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Wet & wild Serpentine Extreme 24km, what a challenge with Mother Nature but the OTBT guides Kirsten & Rossdy were the powerhouse duo encouraging to the end. Excellent training for a multi day hike.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Rocky pool walk Right from the start, a perfect morning. The rain had stopped, the water droplets were hanging off the bush, and the sunlight had turned them into crystal chandeliers. The people turned up, and off we went. It was fabulous; we even had morning tea, amazing, very diverse group of people, lots of stimulating and interesting conversation. Very well organised.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()
